Behind the Studio: Initial Design Process
The initial design phase is a crucial step in the architect–client journey. For me, it’s more than just technical sketches — it’s where art and architecture meet.
That’s why I begin every project with a custom Inspiration Board — a visual collage that captures the soul of the design. Think of it as a creative roadmap: a blend of materials, colors, textures, and design elements that sets the tone for everything that follows.
This process allows me to brainstorm freely, connect ideas, and explore the atmosphere of a space before it's fully formed. And more importantly, it gives clients something tangible — a visual language to express their dreams.
Before we dive into 3D models or renderings, the Inspiration Board is where it all starts. It’s the first glimpse of possibility, and clients love seeing their vision take shape in such a personal and artistic way.
