Loveland Art Gallery | Adaptive Reuse
The transformation of a historic church in downtown Loveland into an intimate art gallery celebrates the building's original architectural character while introducing a Scandinavian-inspired minimalist aesthetic.
The design emphasizes simplicity, natural materials, and warmth, allowing the architecture and artwork to complement one another. Exposed timber beams, richly stained wood screens, and a restrained material palette create a sense of rhythm and texture throughout the space. A sculptural curved wood screen serves as a central architectural feature, while thoughtfully arranged seating areas invite visitors to slow down, gather, and experience art in a welcoming environment.
By honoring the building's historic character and embracing the understated elegance of Scandinavian design, the project creates a thoughtful balance between old and new, giving an existing structure renewed purpose within the community.
